PURPOSE
To determine soft ground or unstable material below original ground level
before construct any earthwork or structure work at site as directed by the
S.O

SCOPE
a. Carried out mackintosh probe test using mackintosh probe
apparatus as directed by S.O
b. Iron rod using for mackintosh probe should be marked every 0.30
meter per marking before starting the test
c. Test should be carried out the range of 400 blows per 0.30 meter or
maximum 15.0 meter in depth.
d. The number of blows should be recorded for every 0.30 meter of
depth until reached 400 blows maximum.
e. The test should be stopped at the final blow of 400 and finalise the
depth by plotting the graph on the mackintosh probe form.
f. If the maximum 400 blows not reached for the requirement, the test
should be carried on until the depth of 15.0 meter.

1. TUJUAN
Menentukan keadaan tanah yang lembut dan bahan tidak stabil
(unstable material) dibawah level tanah asal sebelum kerja-kerja tanah
atau pembinaan dilakukan dibawah arahan S.O
2. BQ ITEM
3. SKOP
a) Ujian Mackinstosh Probe dijalankan menggunakan peralatan
Mackinstosh Probe seperti mana yang diarahkan S.O
b) Rod besi Mackinstosh Probe ditanda setiap 0.30 meter sebelum
ujian di jalankan
c) Ujian dijalankan dengan range 400 blow setiap 0.30 meter sehingga
maksimum 15.0 meter dalam
d) Bilangan blow di rekodkan setiap 0.30 meter dalam sehingga
mencapai 400 blows maksimum
e) Ujian ini dihentikan apabila mencapai 400 blows dan kedalaman
terakhir akan diplotkan graf di dalam boring Mackinstosh Probe
f) Sekiranya 400 blows maksimum tidak mencapai keperluan yang
ditetapkan, ujian perlu di jalankan sehingga kedalaman 15.0 meter.
