Sample Works Cited (Annotated Bibliography)

"Baltimore Declares Emergency as Freddie Gray Riots Erupt - BBC News." BBC News.
BBC, 2015. Web. 28 Apr. 2015. The article wasn't all that useful for my
editorial page because it didn't provide the background information that I
was looking for. After reading the article, I was still left wondering - what
happened, what are the facts on this situation that led to these riots?
Evaluating using the CRAP test - I found this article to be weak on
relevance (for my purposes). However, it is current, and BBC is a credible
news source. No specific author/creator is stated for the article.

Saul, Heather, and Andrew Buncombe. "Baltimore Riots: Who Was Freddie Gray, and
What Caused a Neighbourhood to Turn on Itself?" The Independent.
Independent Digital News and Media, 28 Apr. 2015. Web. 28 Apr. 2015. I found
this article to be a bit helpful - it offered some background information in
regards to the victim. However, I'm still left feeling vague on the details on
the actual event leading up to his death. Evaluating on the CRAP test - the
article is current, somewhat relevant to my purpose/topic, contains reliable
information, charts and graphs provided, and authors are journalists.
Overall, the source is credible, but I did question the Purpose of it - I felt
there was definite bias from the authors. They seemed to focus on the
poverty factor of the victim, as well as the area of Baltimore.
