Reflection 6

How I start my lesson


I have started my lesson 10 more and ten less by doing a review of
previous lesson but in a fun way so I have used crocodile puppet to
review greater than and small than lesson. In addition, in the drama
course we have learned how to make and play with the puppets, so
it was so useful for me. Moreover, because of the crocodile puppet,
.the students were so excited to play and try the activity
?How Do I introduce my lesson
I have given the concept of the lesson as a story to encourage and
attract the students' attention. In addition, I have used famous
animation characters to represent my story. The students were so
excited to the story, and they love it. Identity the lesson by using a
way that the students like is the best choose. Teachers should
sometimes break the routine and try to introduce the lesson in a fun
.way
?How Do I end my lesson
To end my lesson, I have created a special activity that the students
can play a role in it. The activity is about one student will be the
mail carrier and he will give the students the letter in the letter
there is an activity that the students should solve. This activity has
helped me to reflect the students understanding but in a different

way to break the routine. Also to let the students' development


because when I let the student act as the mail carrier, I think I have
supported the students by letting the student feel confidence in
.himself

Straight and area for development


After I have finished my lesson Miss Latoya, have given me the
feedback. She has told me that I have development and improve in
some sections which are management, assessment and the
reflection. Moreover, what she like in my lesson is the crocodile
activity and the floor activity that's when I am want to help the
students to recognize the concept of ten less and ten more lesson.
In the floor activity, I have put numbers and I have shown the
students how we can play this activity. The idea for the activity and
showing the students how it is work are what Miss Latonya likes in
my lesson. Also, she likes how I have introduced the lesson by
telling a story. Besides, the chart activity, I have told some students
to pick numbers that I have told them to see if they know the
numbers or not. However, one of the students struggles with the
number 13 and 31, and I have helped him by telling the students to
read from right to left to not confuse with the numbers. All of these
points Miss Latonya likes. However, there are no areas of
.development
Connect my lesson to experiment or theories

Moreover, I have used technology that it is PowerPoint to tell the


story because watching will help the students to understand the
concept and memories it in the easy way (Decker, 2004). Also, I
have connected telling the story with the technology to help my
students to identify the lesson. This is because children know days
surrounding with the technology everywhere, so I think to tell the
story by using the PowerPoint.
