wouldtakeawaytheopportunityforconvictedfelonsto,

priortoanyinterview,providepotentialemployerswith

legislativeclimatechangedebateattheCapitol.Democrat
RepresentativeMaxTylerbroughtinScottDenning,a
professoratColoradoStatesDepartmentofAtmospheric
Sciences,toarguethatmanmadeglobalwarmingisareal,
majorconcernandthatwecandosomethingaboutit.I
broughtinJayLehr,Ph.D.,sciencedirectorfromthe
conservativethinktankTheHeartlandInstitute,forthe
contraryposition.Bothscientistswereveryinformative
andwellspoken,andtheattendeesseemedvery
impressed.Manylegislatorsattendedandhopefullysome
wereswayedtotherightconclusion.

MarijuanaInterimCommittee
Isuccessfullypresentedarequestforaninterim
committeetostudythecostbenefitanalysisoflegalized
marijuanainColorado.Theissuesaremassive,both
economicandsocietal.Mygoalistohavetheelected
bodymoreengagedastotheseeverevolvingand
troublesomeissues,notwithstandingtheirConstitutional
nexus.Thecommitteehasbeenapprovedforthreelarge
meetingsin2016,butIanticipatethatitmayneedtobe
continuedin2017formoremeetings.Thiscommitteewill
alsoconsideranygapsinthecollectionofdatarelatedto
legalizedmarijuanaandanalyzeongoingstudiesand

reports.
