Profile

I am an art and design educator and practicing artist. I have had experience teaching in a
variety of settings such as public school, weekend art studio workshops, museums, summer
camps, outreach programs in transitional housing, and community projects in supportive
housing. I have experience with children from K-12 school age, and adults of varied
disabilities and special needs.

Experience

Co-facilitator of Taconic Fellowship project, Pratt Center for Community Development;


Brooklyn, New York2016-present

Running weekly art workshops for residents of Pratt Area Community Councils (PACC) first
supportive housing project; Gibb Mansion. I am working with two other program members to
develop workshops around art making and recorded storytelling. The projects is to collect
auditory recordings of stories from the residents and store them in a bench designed and
created by one of our team members, and to become a permanent and interactive art piece
on the Gibb Mansion grounds.

Student Teacher, Juan Morel Campos Secondary School; Brooklyn, New York 2015-2016

Co-teaching and individual teaching of art classes from age ranges of 6th to 12th grade within
the classroom and school-led field-trips in museum settings.

Art Educator, Pratt Institute S.A.S. Saturday Art School 2014-2015

Teaching two 10-week Saturday workshops for elementary aged children in studio settings. I
developed visual art lessons around subjects of paining, drawing, printmaking, collage, story
telling, and puppetry. Each 10 week program was followed by an end of program, gallery
show to display and celebrate the students work.

Intern, C.M.A. Children's Museum of Art RESTART program; Manhattan, New York2014

Intern and co-teacher for C.M.A.s outreach program located in brownsville Brooklyn. I
prepared materials and helped facilitate the workshops, as well as document work and
reflection notes for the outreach programs team.

Volunteer Councilor, Kostopulos Dream Foundation/Camp Kostopulos; S.L.C., Utah 2008

Working with children and adults with with a wide range or disabilities in a residential camp
setting. Helping facilitate art activities and workshops as well as providing help and safety in
the equestrian and rope course programs.
