Addresses people pleasing as a disease

(one of my weaknesses)
Self-Assessment quizzes
Teaches how to say no and importance of setting
boundaries
A people pleaser is very aware of both the explicit
and implicit demands of others but must realize
that resources are finite. You cannot delegate
effectively if you put yourself last (Braiker, 2001).

Leadership
Shadowing

Strengths:
Allowed me the opportunity to view the
role of the charge nurse on the
Womens Care unit
The nurse I shadowed was very
experienced and would make an
excellent future mentor
Demonstrated a Democratic leadership
model
Weaknesses:
The Charge nurses on this unit were given
full patient assignments and were not
always serving in the charge nurse role

Professional
Activity

Strengths:
NRP taught me the necessary
knowledge to resuscitate a neonate if
complications after birth occur.
This activity is specific to my interest in
the neonatal population
Reminded me of my passion for this
vulnerable population
Weaknesses:
The hands on part of this class was not
as long as I would have liked it to be.
Most of the content was on the online
portion.
