Dear Mr. Nickolaus:

In response to actions by the Atlanta City Council under Resolution 10-R-0777 adopted on May 3? 2010
by the City Council, the Department of Public Works request that you suspend enforcement operdtions
under this contract from Wednesday, May 12 at 12:OO am until 1 1:59 PM on June 10,2010. ~ h i s l
moratorium will be utilized to:
I
Assess the policies and practices of parking enforcement and administration
Review customer service training and ongoing public education and involvement
Explore strategies to reduce the number of citizen complaints
Review all parking signage

During the moratorium, ParkAtlanta will not issue citations for expired meters, overtime parking, illegal
parking activities, or perform booting and/or towing. I
During the moratorium ParkAtlanta will continue to maintain the meters and pay stations, collect I
revenues from the meters and pay stations, issue citations for residential parking violations, continbe with
collections on pre-moratorium ParkAtlanta issued citations, continue with collections on APD citalions
issued during the moratorium pursuant to the current agreement provisions.

The City requests that you minimize operating costs during this thirty day moratorium period. weilook
forward to working with you during this moratorium.
