The following statements reflect my philosophy of how children learn and my

beliefs of how their behavior is molded. From experiences in the classroom, working
for an after school program, and through my elders and peers I believe all children
have a desire to learn, but through their ways and beliefs. It is also important for all
children to have a sense of belonging and place in the classroom.
When children are in the classroom, I believe in most cases it is seen as a
negative place or a place where they hear and talk about boring subjects and just
want to learn what they want to learn. Now all children have a desire to learn but it
is what they want to learn and it is to be in their learning style. I believe the two
biggest theorist that focus on this are Piaget and Gardner. Piaget focuses on the
children in the classroom as a whole and how they learn through one another. They
learn by playing, by interacting, by talking, and by seeing other children, teachers,
parents, elders and anybody else in their lives. Gardner focuses on the individual
child in the classroom and how he/she learns. There are in most cases 8 ways a
child learns and interacts; Musical (music/listening), Logical-Mathematics
(number/reasoning smart), Intrapersonal (individual), Bodily-Kinesthetic (physical),
Spatial (visual), Interpersonal (groups), and Linguistic (reading/visual). The culture
of my classroom will reflect a collections of mine and my students feelings,
attitudes, beliefs, and backgrounds.
It is my responsibility to create a welcoming classroom environment for
students to excel in and pursue their desire to learn. Additionally, to provide an
engaging and stimulating classroom for each child to learn in their own unique way
to provide a cooperative learning and positive learning experiences. I will use
classroom rules and routines to communicate my expectations to my students in
order to create a constructive, encouraging environment.

ii. If agreed they sign

If not repeat steps 2-4
Ask the students what should be done
a. Let them be part of the discipline
b. If not I will decide an appropriate consequence
7. Secure the agreement
8. Repeat the terms and follow through
Lastly, I strongly believe that the parents should be involved in the
classroom. This could include many aspects. They can come in and talk about their
profession and what it means to them, helping out on certain parties or big events,
coming in to read a story to the class or even teach a lesson themselves.
Additionally, the parents want to know about their child so communicating with
them if a situation rises, if they start to fall behind on progress or grades. Another
aspect a parent can be involved is when they feel their child is falling behind or is
confused about what is expected of their child and relay this information to them by
email, a video or directions on my page, and/or having them come in to catch them
up to understand what their child is learning to help them along.
Now with each classroom and each student this plan will be adjusted and
modified as every year the classroom and environment will change even just a little.
However, the most important aspect is to stay constant is the environment of the
classroom and how children learn in the classroom. When it comes to management
