You are on a road trip with your family! You are traveling and exploring the Midwest
region of the United States. While on this trip you want to document what you see, learn
and experience. The best way to document your trip is through a journal.

Journal entry expectationsYou are expected to write 1 journal entry per a lesson in this two-chapter unit. This means that there should
be a total of at least 7 journal entries at the end of the unit. In order to keep up with the work you are
expected to have 3 entries done by the end of chapter 8. Ideally you should be doing 1 journal entry at the
end of every lesson.

Journal entries are neatly written without many grammatical or spelling errors- 4pts
Each journal entry has a date (You may travel back in time)- 7 pts
Journal entries are written in paragraph form with complete sentences. 1 paragraph at
least per an entry- 3pts
Each journal entry details a theme in each of the lessons. Details are accurate based on
the textbook. Each entry details at least 2 aspects of that corresponding lesson. 1 lesson
topic= 1 journal entry topic. 1 entry = at least 1 paragraph
