Guided demonstrations led to understanding and learning
how to shoot images in challenging natural light
environments

LE Takeaways
Having the lesson in a real location was beneficial
Large class size made it difficult to hear
Not able to take notes. Success of the course was
depended on psychomotor skills.

Lessons Learned
Lesson was effective, but ran longer than plan. This may
have been caused by not be able to visually see what the
instructor was actually doing.

LE Takeaways
Our impromptu learning session necessary to meet customer
demands. The conference call was the only LE that we could
use.
Missing the visual context really created extraneous load.
The LE would have work if we either had some Prior
Knowledge or visual aids.

Book was in black and white. Was somewhat difficult to
follow.
Book examples did not follow software updates. Button were
moved and functionality change in 15% of the exercises and
documentation.

Adjustments
Worked examples were excellent despite of software updates.
No one to ask questions too

Zone concept was difficult to explain and demonstrate
No effort was made off the court to explain zone concept by
coaches and parents
Players repeatedly experience cognitive and extraneous
overload

Adjustments
Use of classroom LE combine with practice session would
improve player understanding of zone and help establish

The 600 flash has a backlit feature. We were able
to see display clearly

Pressure to learned and operate create a stressful, yet effect

Was able to apply lessons learned quickly, however I was not
able to reproduce efforts the next day

LE move to less stressful environment
