YEAR AND COURSE:

POSITION RUNNING FOR:

PEAS, James Darryl E.

3rd Year BSChE
Secretary General

GENERAL PLAN OF ACTION

1. MINUTES-MATTER
This will implement the posting of the minutes of the meeting conducted by the
student council to be made available for public viewing as soon as the minutes will be
approved. This is to promote transparency between the council and the student body.
The actual minutes will be kept by the student council, but the one that will be posted
publicly will only include the highlights and important matters discussed during the
session. However, if the student body asks for the actual minutes, it will be shown to
the requestor on a scheduled appointment for it is a right of every constituent to know
the agenda presented during an official meeting of the student council.

2. INFORMATION DISSEMINATION
Proper dissemination of information of the student council to its constituents is
crucial. This is to promote awareness of the student body of what activities will the
council have. To be a constituent properly informed of what is happening to your
surroundings, is a smart constituent.
In line with this is the re-organization of the bulletin board. In order for an
organization or a group to post something on the bulletin board, it must first get an
approval from the student council. This is to minimize the clutter of the bulletin board
and also to maximize the exposure of the publications (e.g. announcements, event
publications, etc.) being posted. Not only that the publications will be allowed to be
posted on the bulletin board, but also it will be featured in the Facebook and Twitter
pages of the student council. This suggests that the information dissemination will have
a scope of being on paper and on the web, particularly on social media. Information
Pubs (InfoPubs; for general assemblies, events, etc.) will also be optimized so that
information that must be relayed to the student body will really be visible.
Furthermore, there is a need for an update of the student directory. A student is
requested to fill up a form that asks for his/her personal information (name, address,

cellular number, etc.), this is made for the student council to have a track of its
constituents and that it will be easier to contact specific people if the council needs
their help, or if their presence is requested of the student council or the administration.
Another reason for the collection of the cellular numbers is that it will be forwarded to
the IPO so that announcements from the administration will reach every constituent.

3. SOTECH SAYS
The student council is the voice of the student body, and that the student body
has a say on things.
Regarding on the agenda of the meeting, the agenda for the next meeting of the
council will be posted on an earlier date with the list of topics and agendas that will be
discussed. This is to make the student body aware of what are the things to be
discussed the next time the council will be meeting and they may raise other concerns,
issues or even add other agenda provided that they will submit (at least on a piece of
paper) a list of concerns to their respective batch representatives or they may drop it to
a suggestion box that will be placed in the vicinity of the school. And the
encouragement of the student body to participate or witness an official meeting of the
council provided that they notify the council of their presence.
The need of an implementation of a post-mortem, or post-project evaluation.
This is to know what the participants think about the activity, and let the council or the
event organizers to know on the things that need improvement.
