Public Speaking Skills and Orginization

Instructions:
1. Refer to Lambert textbook, Ch. 2, Section 8 for explanation on how to write a lesson
plan.
2. Insert a graphic to illustrate your lesson plan and make it attractive.

Time Required: 5 days: 2 planning/researching and 3 creating.

4 ADHD students, 2 Dyslexic students, and 1 Partially blind student.

State Learning Objectives


While the teacher guides the process of creating the project, students will
work collaboratively in groups of 2-3 to create a Google presentation in
which they apply what they know about public speaking and speaking
skills.

Select Methods (Strategies), Media, and Materials

Smart Boards, Chromebook or class computers, and google docs.

Differentiated Instructional Strategies


Engaging project that will keep the attention of ADHD students because of
technology and zoomed in screens for visually impaired students.

Utilize Media & Materials


Day 1: Students will be assigned groups and be introduced to Google software/how
to use it.
Day 2: Students will research public speaking tips and put an outline together on
Google docs.
Day 3-5: Students will work on Google presentation with supervision of teacher for
assistance.
Day 6: students will present their Project while demonstrating their public speaking
skills.

Require Learner Participation

Students will follow along with teacher instruction for Google software the first say
of working. Next, the students will work together collaboratively on docs and google
slides so all of their work will be recorded and monitored. They will present and view
presentations of other classmates.

Evaluation
(You must provide some form of evaluation for all the categories below.)
Academic Content
Presenting as well as demonstrating essential speaking skills such as
organization and target audience will show understanding and application.
21st Century Skills
Students will work collaboratively with other students on google software.
Use of Technology
Proper team work and use of google slides and demonstrational skills.
Instruction of Lesson
If students properly demonstrate their speaking skills while presenting.
