Name of Artifact: Blog Post and MLTS Reflection

Date of Artifact: Spring 2016
Course: Education Field Experience EDUC 230-01
Rationale Statement:
For this artifact I had to create a blog post which included my experiences at
Hunterdon Preparatory School and what I learned from the documentary Most Likely to
Succeed. This artifact directly relates to the Essential Knowledge Standard 9.1 which
states, The teacher understands and knows how to use a variety of self-assessment
and problem-solving strategies to analyze and reflect on his/her practice and to plan for
adaptations/adjustments (12). Keeping a blog about my experiences is a great tool for
self assessment because as you write about your experiences it gives you a chance to
reflect on them, which in turn gives you room for growth in the future.
What I learned from this artifact is how pleasant keeping a blog can be.
Reflecting on everything I have accomplished at Hunterdon Preparatory School was a

nice reminder of all the good memories I have had there. It is also a good tool for
reflecting on everything I have done, so I can improve on myself in the future.
I will definitely continue to update my blog. This will be a beneficial tool for self
reflection, along looking good on my resume. It will give potential employers more
information about the type of person I am and the type of teacher I would like to be.
