To me, the function of evidence is to either win an argument or prove a point. Ways I recognize
evidence is when someone is trying to prove their point they list what they are trying to prove
and give examples of that certain subject. The purpose of having evidence is to make sure you
know what you are talking about and to let the reader know you had done your evidence and are
correct on that subject you are writing about. Evidence can be used to aid your writing because it
is there to prove a point and to prove you know what you are talking about. When evidence is
used, it makes the essay or paper seems so much more sophisticated and educated. It also shows
you are passionate about the subject and have learned about it as much as you possibly can.
