did you learn about yourself in terms of planning instruction

and instructional strategies for students?
When I was planning instruction and instructional
strategies for students, I learned several things about my self.
learned that I am determined that find the most appropriate
and engaging word choice for students. By having a
vocabulary map ready for students, it truly allows them to
break down the word in their head and on paper to further
their learning. I also learned that it takes a lot of effort and
time, but when you finally have a wonderful explanation for
word, you can re use it limitlessly.

2.Describe the impact on student learning of having well

developed vocabulary lessons.
The impact of having well developed vocabulary lessons
is
enormous. Students will become more engaged and become involved with the readings. The vocabulary will become more
extensive and their comprehensive levels will begin to rise. When a teacher has well-developed vocabulary lesson, the benefits
are endless. The teacher will be prepared for any situation where a student may not understand a word, and they will be there
with a new engaging way to learn it.

3.How did you have to use critical thinking skills to complete this project?
I used critical thinking skills consistently while completing this project. I had to come up with creative and engaging
definitions that only included key words. At times it was hard to narrow down a definition, but critical thinking skills played a
large role in breaking it down. When creating context sentences in the vocabulary map, I had to critically think of the best way to
use the word in a sentence. The sentence needed to explain the word using the keyword definition, but then also needed to show
the students how not to use the word. Critical thinking skills were essential to completing this project.
4.How did this project strengthen your skills in developing learning environments and social interactions with students?
This project strengthened my skills in developing learning environments and social interactions with students several
different ways. I have, who has game played a large role in developing these skills. Students have to interact with their peers
and collectively work together to find the correct definition. By using a script in the classroom, the teacher is creating a
positive learning environment that engages students.
5. What do you need to do to continue to develop your skills in these areas?
To continue to develop my skills in these areas I will need to be consistently testing my brain to come up with creative new
ways to engage students. By incorporating vocabulary routines in my classroom it will be a great way to develop these skills in
all areas. Vocabulary routines are so versatile and can easily be applied in different subject areas with tier three words. By
receiving feedback from my mentor teacher will also help me develop my skills in these areas.
