RegionalOccupationalProgramthatcertifiesthatIhadcompletedandparticipatedina
EmployabilityportfolioandtheMHSportfolioday2015,AswellasaCertificationofappreciation
presentedbyFHAHEROforcompetinginaregionlevelcompetition,aswellasmyscoresheet
frommyportfoliopresentationfromlastyearsportfoliodayatMercedHighSchool.Among
thesefourpridesamplesIwantedtosharewithyouthetremendousamountofpridethatItake
inallofthesesamples.ThefirstsampleismycertificateofexcellencefromtheMercedCounty
RegionalOccupationalProgramawardingmeforstudyingandexcellinginFoundationsin
Education,ThisawardwasgiventomeaftercompletingatotaloffourbindersfortheR.O.P
courseandforjoiningthecollegecourseaswell.Itakeprideinthisbecauseallofmyhardwork
forthesebindersfinallypaidoff,andIhadcompletedthemfasterthanmostoftheother
students.
MysecondpridesamplewouldbeacertificationfromMercedCountyOfficeof
EducationRegionalOccupationalProgramwhichcertifiesthatIhadcompletedandparticipated
increatinganemployabilityportfolioaswellastakingplaceinMercedsR.O.Pportfoliodaylast
year.ThiswasanincrediblybigprojectformetotakeonlastyearasIwasstartingtoprepare
foracompetitionwithFHAHERO.Thisportfoliowasmorehelpfultowardslastyearsseniors,as
theycouldusethemfortheirseniorportfolioday,anditactuallyhelpedmethisyearincreating
myseniorportfolioasithadallofthesamethingsneededformine,exceptIhadtotransferall
oftheinformationtomyweeblyaccountfromthebinder.Thebinderincludesthefollowing:a
coverletter,R.O.PJobApplication,Resume,Referencesheet,Lettersofrecommendation,a
Careeractionplan(otherwiseknownasafiveyearplan),worksamplesfromtheschoolsiteI
wasmentoringat,mypersonalityboardthatIhadcreatedforthestudentstogettoknowme
better,Siteevaluationsfrommyteacher/advisorattheschoolsite,awardsandcertificates,
portfoliopieces(extrapapers)andpresentations.Throughoutallthishardworkitgivesmepride
tohavebeenabletocompletethisportfoliowiththehelpoftheworkthatIhadspentsomuch
timeandeffortonlastyear.
MythirdpiecewouldbemycertificateofappreciationfromFHAHEROfortakingplace
inaregionalcompetitionagainstallofthecentralvalleycompetitorsforeducation.Ispentmany
hoursduringfreeschooltimeaswellasfreetimeIfoundathometocreateanddesignalesson
planforagradelevelofmychoicewhichwasfirstgradeatthetime.Itookgreatpridein
creatingalessonontornadoesaswellasacuteactivityofcreatingatornadoinabottle.I
competedwithinatenminuterangeandplacedfifthplaceoutofthetopten,Ididntplacehigh
enoughtocontinueontoastatelevel.Iwentontothestatelevelasadelegateinsteadofa
competitorwhichinitselfwasamazingaswell.
Andmylastpieceismyscoresheetfromlastyearsportfoliodaywhichbringsmegreat
pridebecauseofthescoreIhadreceivedonitduringmytestingperiod.Outofascoreof100
percentIgota96whichmakesmeextremelyproudbecauseitwasmyfirstyeardoinga
portfolio.IhadonlybeenmarkeddownbecauseoftheearringsIhadbeenwearingweretoo

bigaswellasmydressneedingtobeatadlonger.Myportfoliobringsmegreatpridedueto
thefactthatIhadaccomplishedsomuchthroughouttheyearaswellashavingcamesofar.I
amextremelyproudofalloftheseaccomplishmentsthatIhaveovercameandlookforwardto
accomplishingmanymore.
