The theme of this unit is


future. In the opening
Classroom: US 309
section, various verb
patterns are introduced
Office Hours: M-F 8:30 am 3:30
and practiced within the
pm
context of hopes,
ambitions, and plans. In a second grammatical focus, going to, will,
and the Present Continuous for future are contrasted. There is a
reading text about teenagers who are sent to a therapy camp
because they are badly behaved, and the Listening activity studies
the song The Voice Within by Christina Aguilera.

Learning Objectives
Students will be able to pronounce common long vowels and
short vowels correctly.
Students will be able to use common verb patterns correctly.
Students will be able to use Future Simple and Present
Continuous for future correctly.
