Mass Communication

This paragraph was from the assignment I did for CAPSTONE.

Before I switched my major to IDS I was a Sports and Exercise Science

major and figured that I wanted to learn more than what I was learning.
Coming in to college I knew I wanted to do something pertaining to Sports
and health. I thought my only choice was to become a Sports and exercise
science major, which I found out, was false. I discovered IDS this year when I
was trying to declare Sport Business Management as my minor and ran in to
some complications on the way. I switched over to IDS so I could be able to
have more flexibility with choosing the classes I knew would benefit me in
the long run and not classes that was forced upon me. My two areas are
Health and Education, which was perfect because majority of the classes Ive
already taken fell under these areas allowing me space to maneuver in a
minor in mass media and sports business management. I really dont have a
clear and concise idea of what I want to be in the future but I know that I
want sports to be the driving factor of what Im doing and I know that I want
to love what ever it is. So in the mean time I will take anything that can make
me a well rounded applicant to any job that I feel is right for me. I honestly
really want to work with the NBA but dont have a clue on doing so. Hopefully
everything works out for the better. IDS is really enabling me to be in control
of my destination. Its opening doors that a leading me to classes that I would
of never taken because I didnt have the space or wasnt allowed to take.
ANSWER

My planned courses are the courses I am currently taking. I believe this

is the perfect schedule because it provides with the diversity I need to finish
off my undergraduate career. I am extremely interested in the media aspect
of sports, therefore the Media law class and the sport media class will
provide me with the proper education on that subject. I also have taking a
liking with working behind the scene with sporting events when I worked with
the Battle of the Bands this past fall. So this Event management in sorting
and entertainment class will definitely benefit me as I embark on my journey
on what I actually want to do with life. And lastly and possibly the most
important one is my entrepreneur class. I have very high expectations for
this class because it will possibly tie up all my passions into something I
would love doing for the rest of my life. I truly believe that you cant execute
something to its full potential by only looking at it with one perspective. IDS
was a wise choice on my behave be cause it allowed my creative being to
flourish and attract to things that I am passionate about.
