The information contained in this source was published in 2008. It has never been
updated, according to the information I have access to. This topic requires mostly new

for most levels to be able to comprehend. Yes, it took me a while to find a book as informational
as this one is. Yes, I plan on citing it in my research paper.
The publisher is DMR Newsletter. It is a well published scholarly newsletter. Yes, this
company does surveys in areas where oil drilling is well known. There contact information is as
a publisher. It only reveals it is a PDF file.

not assumptions. The information has not been reviewed, based on the information given. Yes,

this source re instates some knowledge I already knew. Yes, the information is unbiased and it is
free of emotion. To my knowledge, I have not seen any grammatical errors.
This information was produced to inform people of the subject. The author made their
purpose clear, in that to inform the public. This information is facts, mostly. No it does not
appear objective or impartial. There are no biases of those listed.
I would rate this information at a 3 because it is very informative but does not answer my
research question.
WWW.
Goode, Jason. Horizontal Drilling is Changing the Game. Drilling Info: better, faster decisions,
12 June 2014. http://info.drillinginfo.com/horizontal-drilling-changing-game/
This information was published in the middle of 2012. It has not been revised due to how
recently it was published. This topic requires mostly new information, but will revert back to
statistics in the past. The links are functional as long as you have the access.
The information does inform me of statistics I did not know of, and helps me in
answering my question. The intended audience is for the general public and for scholarly use as
well. This information is at a level to where an educated person will be able to comprehend
easily. This source I stumbled upon this article quickly and it caught my attention. I will be citing
this source in my paper if able.
The author of this article is Jason Goode, a blogger. The author was published through
this website. This author was clearly qualified to write over this topic because he was published

on a Drilling website. There is no contact information for the author, due to confidentiality. The

and instructional videos. The information has been reviewed being that it was published. I can
verify a portion of the information due to knowledge. This information is free of opinions and
emotions. To my knowledge there are no grammatical errors.

is a little foggy on the exact purpose. This information is mostly fact based. The point of view is
clearly impartial. There are no biases in this article.

knowledge I was already aware of, general knowledge.

Construction, R. Directional Drilling in the Oil industry. Crude Oil: Refinery process, 2 Dec.
2014. http://blog.rconstructionco.com/2014/12/directional-drilling-in-the-oil-industry/
This information was published at the end of 2014. I assume the information has been
revised being that it is not a published article, only information on a website. This topic requires
mostly new information, but will revert back to statistics in the past. The are no links in the
website article.
The information does relate to my research question but it does not answer it. The
intended audience is mostly just to those in the business of oil drilling. The information is at an
appropriate level only for people who are in and around the business. These along with my other

internet source were rather difficult to find, but once I found them I stuck with them. I am not
sure if I will site this source in my paper.
The publisher is R Construction, which is an informational website for this industry. The
author is unknown because it is on a public website. The author is not given, it is unanimous. The
URL only reveals that this article was formed from a published blog.
The information comes from a construction site of this industry. The information is
supported by videos and demonstrations. I assume the information has been revised because it
was once a blog. This source has information that I have never seen before and some that I have
heard of. The language used is subjected to people mostly in this field but also other domains.
This information is to inform people not in this field about the basic operations. The
author does make their point over the whole thing. The information is mostly facts and
demonstrations. The point of view is mostly centered, and there are no biases throughout the
article.
I would rate this source as a 2, mainly because it is a lot of general information.
