symptoms and treatments for anorexia nervosa. Based on the STAR criteria this source is
relevant and typical to other sources in the way that it is from an official website
dedicated to helping those with eating disorders and describes the core symptoms that I
will describe in my paper. I will use this source to describe symptoms and treatment for
anorexia.
Covey, Ryan, personal communication, 12 Mar. 2016. I conducted an interview with a friend of
mine who had had experience with a family member with anorexia. I asked him several
questions about how the person acted while they were inflicted and if he or any of his
family members could tell that something was wrong. He said that they could tell that
something was different but the never expected anything as drastic as anorexia was at
play. I asked him how the treatment was conducted and he told me that his family
member kept to themselves for most of the treatment but in the end they started getting
better once they talked with their family, as anorexia is rarely stimmed form nothing.
According to the STAR criteria this source is typical in most cases of anorexia and its
relevance to my topic is accurate. Its accuracy is accurate, as it was conducted this year. I

will use this source in my paper to give a firsthand account of what its like to live with
someone who has anorexia.

statistics of people affected by eating disorders. Based on the STAR criteria this source is
accurate and relevant because it is a website dedicated to the treatment of eating disorders
and the facts are accurate. I will use this source to show the percentages of people with
anorexia and the mortality rates.

eating disorder and not know. According to the Star criteria this source is accurate and
sufficient to my topic, which is anorexia. It is typical to other sources of anorexia as it
uses the same information. I will use this source to possibly help spot someone with
anorexia or to help the reader possibly spot themselves if they are inflicted with a eating
disorder.
Godier, Lauren R., and Rebecca J. Park. "Does Compulsive Behavior In Anorexia Nervosa
Resemble An Addiction? A Qualitative Investigation." Frontiers in Psychology 6. (2015):
1-12. Print. This source delves into the similarities between an addiction and the
symptoms of Anorexia. I will use this source in my paper to provide the similarities of
Anorexia to that of an addiction. Through the STAR criteria this source is accurate and
reliable because it comes from a reputable author and source that has experience and has
done the research needed for the subject. It is a typical source that takes the information
common to anorexia and puts it into a new light by comparing it with another mental
disorder. This source is sufficient because its subject is the same as my topic.

2015 Web. 12 Mar. 2016. This source displays new information about anorexia and the
theory behind why it occurs. According to the STAR criteria this source is relevant and
sufficient to my source, as it is an article on anorexia. The source is accurate as it is up to
date and it is typical to the other information in other sources of anorexia. I will use this
source to help describe what anorexia stems from.
Hisam, Aliya, Mahmood Ur Rahman, and Syed Fawad Mashhadi. "Anorexia Nervosa Among
Teenage Girls: Emerging or Prevalent?" Pakistan Journal of Medical Sciences 31.6
(2015): 1290-1294. Nov. 2015. Print. This source is an article about teenage girls with
anorexia and the argument of whether or not anorexia is prevalent or emerging in teen
girls today. Based on the STAR criteria this source is relevant to my source because it
argues over the threat of anorexia. The authors are all experienced writers of health and
disorders and show a typical view over the topic. I will use this source as a look into what
people are doing and thinking about the existence of eating disorders.
Jurma, Anda Maria, et al. "Parental and Family Factors Involved In the Etiopathogenesis of
Anorexia Nervosa in Adolescents." Jurnalul Pediatrului 18. (2015): 150-154. Print. This
source identifies the family factors in clinical practices in teens diagnosed with Anorexia.
In accordance to the STAR criteria this source is accurate and reliable because it was
posted in a reputable journal. It is typical among other sources because it shows evidence
that other reputable sources have shown. It is relevant to my topic Anorexia Nervosa. I
will use this source in my paper to tell of the effects of families in anorexia cases.

increase treatment of eating disorders. According to the STAR criteria this source is
sufficient and relevant to my source as it is about anorexia. This source is also accurate as
it is recently published and it is typical to all other accounts of anorexia information. I
will use this source to show that anorexia and other eating disorders are still common
today and people are still doing their best to find and treat anorexia.
Moorhead, Joanna. Anorexia: It affected everyone in the family. theguardian.com.
theguardian, 28 Sep. 2013. Web. 29 Feb. 2016. This source is a secondhand account of a
mothers struggle with her teenage daughters who were afflicted with anorexia. Based on
the STAR criteria, this source is written by a woman who has interviewed and written
about multiple other people. It is relevant to my paper and typical among other accounts
of anorexia, such as my source by Katy Waldman. I will use this source as another
account of dealing with anorexia.
Quick, Virginia M., Carol Byrd-Bredbenner, and Dianne Neumark-Sztainer. Chronic Illness and
Disordered Eating: A Discussion of the Literature ncbi.nlm.nih.gov US National Library
of Medicine, 6 May 2013. Web. 29 Feb. 2016. This source from ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
describes the multiple negative effects of an eating disorder on the human body. It goes
into how and why the disorders cause these illnesses. Based on the STAR criteria this
source shows enough information for my paper and is typical and relevant based on other
sources. This information is also from a medical source and the authors all have
experience in the subject and have written multiple articles similar to this one. I will use
this source to describe the negative effects caused by anorexia.

2016. This source delves into who eating disorders affect, the source isnt that

informative and doesnt really have a place in my paper. According to the STAR criteria
this source is accurate and typical among other sources of anorexia. This source is also
relevant to my topic but it is not sufficient to the type of paper I will be writing. I will not
be using this source in my paper.

2016. This source is a firsthand account from a woman who experienced anorexia. It
describes her story of when she was suffering from anorexia and how it affected herself
and those around her. This source is written by a woman who suffered from anorexia and
is relevant and typical to most other accounts of anorexia in how the symptoms and
treatment is accurate. I will use this source in my paper to show accounts of what it is like
from a person who experienced the disorder
