Flora and Elias Disney on December 5th 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. His full name was Walter Elias Disney after the Reverend Walter Parr. In 1910 he enrolled in the Benton Grammar School while working as a newspaper delivery boy, later attending the Kansas City Art Institute. In 1918, at the end of World War One, Walt forged his parents signature to work in the Red Cross Ambulance Corps in France. Upon returning from France, he bought his first movie camera. Walt marries Lillian Bonds on July 13, 1925. In 1927, Walt produces "Oswald the Lucky Rabbit" cartoons for Universal Pictures. In 1928, he loses the Oswald character and creates "Steamboat Willie" starring Mickey Mouse~ the first cartoon with fully synchronized sound. In 1932, the first color cartoon, "Flowers and Trees" was made. Walt also received the first Oscar awarded to an animated cartoon for this. When Walt Disney took a five-day train trip with his wife Lillian, that he came up with the idea of a cartoon mouse named Mortimer His wife rejected the name of the mouse, and Disney ended up changing it from Mortimer to Mickey It is interesting to note that Mickey Mouse started out as an impish, mischievous character that played a cow's teeth like a xylophone in his first movie. Today, Mickey Mouse is normally dressed in red shorts with two buttons on the front, large yellow shoes, and his trademark white gloves. He sports a bulbous black nose, and he has large eyes. The only similiarities he has to a real mouse are his large mouse ears, and his long, skinny tail. Other than those features, Mickey Mouse has his own distinctive look. As for Mickey Mouse, he still magically lives on with his friends---Minnie Mouse, Morty, Ferdie, Pluto, Donald Duck, Huey, Dewey, Louie, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Maxie Disney produced the first feature- length cartoon, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs ...
