APPLICATION FOR INDUSTRIAL TRAINING

Dear sir/madam,
I am currently in my third year, majoring bachelor of chemical engineering at Universiti
Teknologi MARA Shah Alam. My purpose of writing this letter is to apply for the internship
position that related to the chemical engineering profession in your company. The duration of the
industrial training is approximately 10 weeks and is scheduled from 18 July 2016 until 23
September 2016.
In my second year, as a committee member of Faculty of Chemical Engineering Student
Society (FCheSS), I involved in many programmes as an organizer. I was once a committee
member of Selangkah ke UiTM programme. In this programme, my job was to explain to the
school leaver about my faculty objective, what we learned as a chemical engineering student, and
what the career path that chemical engineer can make.
I was also once participated in Faculty Chemical Engineering Symposium Competition.
In this competition, I together with my team had to innovate an improvement to the current
technology. The project that we introduced in this competition is how to produce an ethanol
which is most demand chemical particularly in the oil industry with an algea. This competition
basically is a way to expose the students toward new green technology or renewable technology
and reduce our dependency toward fossil fuel. My extra curriculum activities have honed
excellent team-working, communication skill, organisation skill, budget planning and
interpersonal skills.
I believe I am suitable for the internship because I wish to utilise relevant skills and
develop new ones for long term aspiration within the chemical engineering profession. I hope,
therefore, that on consideration on my resume, you will be persuaded of my potential to perform
