A) Theme:
Prayer of thanks to be said on Thanksgiving Day.
B) Reading:
1 Corinthians 1:4, I give thanks to my God always for you because of
the grace of God that was given to you in Jesus Christ.
C) Reflection:
Each year Americans set aside one day to give thanks for all they have
received. Most Americans talk about how they give thanks for things such as
family, friends, and basic life necessities, but they forget about one thing.
Jesus saved everyone from sin, but more often than not, other things that
people are thankful for overshadow him. It is not a bad thing that they are
giving thanks for other things besides Jesus, but Jesus should be one of the
top things people give thanks for. Without Jesus our sins would not have
been forgiven and would still be living in the shadow of sin.
D) Prayer:
Lord on this day of Thanksgiving we give you thanks for your great love
Your sending of Your only son to this world of ours

Your gracious giving of our everyday needs,

And for the ability to cherish our loved ones.

O gracious Lord please give us the ability to

Give thanks for all that we have,
To appreciate all that we have,
To allow others to follow in our footsteps of thanksgiving,
To give us the ability to show others how to give thanks,
And most of all, show us how to give thanks to Your one and only son and our
savior.
We ask all this through you O God and give thanks for all you have given to
us.
Amen
