Use the list of strategies that follows to assess your level of withitness. Rank yourself on a scale of 1 through 3 in regard to how successful you are in practicing each strategy, with 3 being as successful as possible. Any strategy for which you can’t rank yourself as a3 should be one that you continue to work to improve. 1.3 _ Don’t tum your back on your students for even a few seconds. 3B Be alert to signs and signals among your students. 73 trust your intuition. If something seems amiss among your students during class, it probably is. When conducting classroom conferences, have the student sit at a desk facing away from classmates so that you can see all of your students at the same time that you are conferring with your student. 5.
