By asking both higher and lower level questions in the class, so that all students will be engaged and actively
learning at all times in the classroom. Also when it comes to the use of brainstorm I would hope that this would get
all the students engaged in their own learning and that peer learning would also take place. This will also be the case
when it comes to the pair work in thinking up of St. Blaises impact on our lives today.

LITERACY & NUMERACY:

What are the essential aspects of literacy/numeracy in this lesson?

Some of new terms the students will be meeting may be difficult for some. To help with this I will get them to fill out
these words into their word bank. This will also help for revision and will help improve their literacy. By placing the
key words on the board at the beginning of class, this will help keep the student focused on the class tasks at hand and
must be completed for the other students to move on also.
