I most closely associate myself to the Biblical Character commonly called john the
Baptist. I am at once both eccentric and ascetic. John is likewise presented in the Bible.
John did things differently than did the world, and regularly (presumably)_ thumbed his
nose at them in their dislike of his behavior. I do likewise. I am a most odd fellow, as I
enjoy infinitely seclusion and solitude. I additionally have a diet that is mostly composed
of beans, as opposed to Johns diet of locusts. John had one purpose in his life: to live
separately from the world, so as to garner glory for his God. I likewise have one purpose
in my life: to live separately from the world, displaying holiness of mind and body,
announcing the kingdom of God in this world. I, however, need to take heed to the
implementation that John expresses in his life, as I continually fall short of his example.
