Proyecto de la Ciudad

This project will be worth 100 points. You will be doing this project in groups of 2, 3, or
4. Each group will construct a 3D version of a Spanish Speaking Town Center (real or
imaginary). You will have class time to decide who you would like to work with and the name
and theme of your Town Center. You must write this down and turn it into Seorita Durkin at the
end of that class period. We will have several days in the classroom to work on this project. The
days are limited so use your time wisely. You will obey all class rules and work quietly each day
designated as a project work day. Every member of your group will be seated together and work
hard during the time allotted for the project. If you are not able to work on the project during
class time, the time will be spent working on your presentation. If you do not finish the project
during the allotted class time, the project must be finished at home. This project will be due on

March 10th/11th.
This project has two parts. One, the unveiling of your city consisting of at least 10 places
normally found in Spanish Speaking Cities. And two, your presentation of your city. The
presentation must be in Spanish but you may have a script in front of you. Each member must
say a minimum 3 sentences.
Things to include in your project:
1. A visually appealing site constructed with creative available materials.
2. A well developed city center with at least 10 different locations, 3 roads, and one method of
transportation represented and labeled in Spanish using correct spellings and accents.
3. Other elements that will complement your city: animals, trees, people, statues, or street signs.
4. You presentation should be complete in content, comprehensible for the average Spanish 2
student, contain accurate, well-organized information and show that you have put care and
effort into the process. Your sentences must explain the name and theme of your city and
what and where things are in your city.
