The text below is about trip to Sarawak.
Question 1
Read the text below. The first and last lines are correct. For the remaining lines, there is one

We went to Sarawak last week and had a wonderful time there. We

landed at the Kuching airport at the morning and proceeded to Encik
Aimans house by taxi. Encik Aiman who are our family friend, showed
us around the Kuching town. After reaching his house at 9.30a.m., we
have breakfast with him and started our journey at 10.15 a.m. He
reached the town market after a thirty minute journey by bus. There, we
seeing all kinds of beautiful items for sale. I bought a brown ceramic
vase to my mother. We left the town market at 11.30 a.m. and proceeded
to the museum with foot. It was a 20 minutes walk to the museum. We
reached a museum at 11.50 a.m. Encik Aiman told us that the journey
will only take 10 minutes from the town market by taxi. At the museum,
we saw much historical items such as traditional weapons, cooking
utensils, clothing with even miniature longhouses. It was a very
interesting and unforgettable trip.

A Hardworking Boy
Ahmad is in Form One. He goes to school at 6.45 a.m. every morning. He takes the bus. He has to
leave very early because his home is very far away from his school. He lives in Kampung Landung
Ayang in Sabah. His school, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Kudat is about twenty kilometres away
from the nearest town.
There are five people in Ahmads family. His father is a fisherman and his mother is a
housewife. They are very poor. His father catches fishes for a living. When the weather is bad, he is
not able to get an income. Ahmad has a younger brother, Ali and a younger sister, Aina, who are still
too young to go to school. He is the eldest child in his family.

Even though he is only eleven years old, Ahmad knows that he has to work hard at school to
succeed so that he and his family can have a more comfortable life later on. He wants to become a
doctor when he grows up. He is a very hardworking and intelligent boy and does well in his studies.
In the afternoon, Ahmad helps his mother makes dry fishes. In the evening, he does his
homework and revision. Sometimes, he studies at night using just an oil lamp since there is no
electricity yet in Kampung Landung Ayang. His parents are very proud of him.
