projection survey)
When looking at
needs for upcoming
school year, most
teachers asked for
more support in
behavior
management. The
consensus, is they
received training in
academic areas but
none with
classroom
management.

80% of teachers
indicated they
could benefit from
behavior and
classroom
management.

September
The AP and I
offered the first
training by grade
level for discipline
referrals to discuss
the following areas
1)Role of behavior
specialist
2)When to contact
the behavior
specialist
3) Things to
consider prior to
writing an office
referral.
4)Office referral

Prior to

During this project,

I realized in order
to effectively
implement
programs, a leader
must include
current research
and data to ensure
all stakeholders are
aware of program
expectations,
assessment plans,
and role
identification. We
must be motivated
to motivate others.
There were several
teachers who were
reluctant to
implement and buy
into the program,
but I did not let that
stop me. I found
ways to motivate,
asked questions,
and I valued their
input by welcoming
their suggestions.
