1. Welcome students into the classroom and settle them onto the matt to
start the lesson.

book. For example; have they seen a caterpillar before? Or do they
know the steps of the caterpillar life cycle?

5. Determine the childrens interest in the story and read again, if time
with the childrens participation.

4. Discuss collaboratively with the children what is their favourite
part of the story and the life cycle.

5. Create a brainstorm of natural and man-made environments with


the children on the whiteboard.

7. After brainstorming with the children, another teacher will come
into the session and introduce the next activity using the Ipads.
