Brochure
Description:

A brochure that I created about the National Park Service


Centennial.

Programs/Tools:

I designed the brochure in Adobe Indesign and the Solar


logo in Illustrator.

Objectives:

The objective was to use multiple programs and photos to


create a unified message.

Process:

I started by sketching out what I wanted the brochure


to look like. I then found images that would go well my
message. I opened up Indesign and began creating what I
had sketched. I also brought in the logo that I had created in
Illustrator.

Objectives:

Create a unified web page that is visually appealing.


Use a logo that I had created in the design.

Process:

First, I started writing basic HTML with the content of the


web page. I decided which logo I would use and what my
message would be. After writing the HTML, I wrote CSS
that would give the page more dynamic.

A photo design including text to convey a message.

Objectives:

Edit a photo that I had taken.


Use image and text to share a unified message.

Process:

I first took a photo of the books on a table. I then edited


the photo in Photoshop to fix shadow and clarity. While in
Photoshop, I was able to add the lines and text.

Objectives:
Learn to use illustrator and create a visually
communicative logo for a business.
Process:

I started by deciding what the business was going to be. I


then drew up some sketches of what I would like the logo
to look like. I created 3 different logos for the business in
Illustrator and narrowed it down to the one that I liked
most.

Description:

Photoshop.

Objectives:

Learn to use multiple images and combine them in


Photoshop to create a clean montage.

Process:
I began by placing the background image in
Photoshop. I edited it to bring out the colors of the
sunset and was able to remove a rooftop in the top
left corner. I then used an overlay to add the sheet
music effect. I found the image of the birds and
used masking and overlay to place them into the
image.

Business Card
Description:

This is a business card for a made up company.

Objectives:

Create a business card centered around a logo that I created.


Match the business card with a letterhead.

Process:

The logo was the first thing to be created in Illustrator. After


that, I was able to design the card around the logo and
create an interesting card that both gives the information
and shows the culture of the company.

Event Flier

A flier created for a made up charity event.

I scanned in the background photo, placed it in word and


created a flier for the event.

Objectives:

Create a clean letterhead that matches business cards.

Process:

The letterhead was created on Indesign. I first sketched


up some ideas that would go well with the matching
business card and would continue the idea of GO Mountain
Adventures.

Objectives:

Use given material and images to create a flier.


Learn to use Indesign.
Learn proper alingment.

Process:

I was given text and images to use for an even flier. I was
new to the program, so I first learned the basics of Indesign.
I decided the hierarchy of importance in information and
then alinged things well and did my best to create a nice
flow.
