The recent passage of House Bill 2 in North Carolina threatens those rights. Thus, effective immediately, the Orange County Tax Collector's office will not sanction publically-funded employee travel to the state of North Carolina for as long as the state continues to enforce laws that promote discrimination unless such travel is deemed legally necessary to meet the duties of the Orange County Tax Collector's office or to meet prior contractual obligations.
