Differentiated Instruction & UDL

Differing instruction is important while teaching. As a teacher you are going
to encounter many students with different learning disabilities. Reading
Rockets supplied many examples of how to reach students while teaching.
Some things that I practice while teaching are.

o Pre-teach difficult vocabulary and concepts

o State the objective, providing a reason for listening
o Give explanations in small, distinct steps
o Provide written as well as oral directions
o Have the student repeat directions
o When giving directions to the class, leave a pause between
each step so student can carry out the process in his mind

While reading the article from WestEd I was able to find some ways to help
my students use and integrate technology to help them learn. Using graphic
organizers to help keep my students organized is exactly what we is needed
to know dates of performances, what pieces are due for homework, and
where they can keep copies of their music. Having content specific software
can be productive for playing tests. Smartmusic is a great software to help
students understand
