Students will use
Google SMS, the
calculator, to
convert units of
measurement
#6-B

1. Number Sense,
Properties, and
Operations

2. Patterns, Functions,
and Algebraic
Structures
3. Analysis, Statistics,
and Probability

The teacher will

use Cel.ly and
have students
send in responses
to questions
before coming to
school so the
teacher can see
what they already
know as well as
teach the
students about
analyzing
statistics
#2-D

The students will show

memory of what they
have learned,
interpret what they
have learned in order
to convert the
measurements and
know if they are
correct, use the
information in
different situations,
breakdown the
information and put it
back together, create
solutions to problems
and conversions
Remember,
understand, apply,
analyze, create

The teacher will have

to recall the
information taught
and what is important,
summarize the data
the collect, apply what
they and their
students know about
technology to create
a poll, analyze the
data to be able to
understand what it is
conveying and to be
able to teach it to her
students, know the
value of the data they
have collected, create
a lesson to teach their
students using the
data they have
collected

This could be turned

into a game by the
students having to
come up with the
conversions, writing
them down or
remembering them
and then playing a
game like around
the world, like you
would with math
facts but doing it
with conversions

The students would be

active in their learning
by showing what they
do or do not know in an
interactive way, by
taking a poll and then
the teacher will teach
them a concept,
analyzing statistics, by
using their participation

Flipped
Classroom

Remember,
understand, apply,
analyze, evaluate,

4. Shape, Dimension,
and Geometric
Relationships
Reading, Writing, and Communicating
1. Oral Expression and
Listening
2. Reading for All
Purposes

3. Writing and
Composition

The teacher will

create a group on
Google Drive/Docs
where the teacher
as well as the
students can
create and add
different stories to
the group and
share with each
other, creating
different types of
writing so
students can read
for different
purposes
#2-C

Students will use

Flickr to create a
book on a selfchosen topic and
present it to the
class, then add it to
the class library for
everyone to read
whenever they want
to
#1-A

The teacher will have

to understand what
the students need in
order to create
different stories, use
that information in
different situations,
identify what else the
students need in order
for then to be able to
create these stories,
evaluate to see if this
method is effective
and if the students are
learning, and create
stories of their own as
a model as well as
something for the
students to read
Understand, apply,
analyze, evaluate,
create
Students will need to
remember the things
they have learned
about writing, they
will need to be able to
interpret that
information in order to
write their own book,
apply that knowledge
to writing a book,
make judgements
about what to include
in their book, and
produce an original
works
Remember,
understand, apply,
evaluate, create

This could be done

outside of class,
during the childs
free time at home or
as an assignment to
be done at home.
They could create
the stories at home
when they have
plenty of time to
think about it and
include all of the
elements and topics
they want to,
instead of in a
rushed classroom
environment

The students are

actively involved in their
learning by adding to
their class library with
books they have
thought up and written
themselves, this would
motivate them to read
because it would be
books written by
themselves as well as
their peers and may
include more topics that
are interesting to them

4. Research and
Reasoning
Social Studies
Students will create
an electronic
collage using
screenshots they
have taken from
various places and
combine them
together to make a
collage they can
present
#5-A

1. History

2. Geography
3. Economics

The teacher will

use Microsoft
OneNote to take
notes on
economics so the
students can have
access to these
notes as well as
edit them with
things they need
to remember the
topics
#3-C

Students will need to

remember what they
have been taught on
the subject of interest,
interpret and translate
that information to a
collage, breakdown
the subject into parts
to be able to
teach/show someone
else about it, support
ideas and they will
need to produce an
original works
Remember,
understand, apply,
analyze, evaluate,
create
The teacher will need
to be able to define
terms and know facts,
interpret and translate
information to the
students, apply the
information to a
teaching situation,
breakdown the

ideas
Remember,
understand, apply,

The students will be

actively involved in their
learning by choosing a
topic they want and
finding pictures and
different things to
screenshot to include in
their collage, they are
doing and finding things
interesting to them
instead of being told
what they have to do, of
course the topic they
choose will have to be
history related

This could be done

at home, the adding
to and editing the
notes by the
students. The
teacher could take
notes during the
class with the
children and the
children could take
notes on their own
while she is doing
that and then at
home they could
look at the notes
again and add
things or come up
with questions to
talk about the next
day in class

The teacher will

find eBooks
relating to Earth

predictions at home

the day of the
experiment and test
to see if they are
right. They could
then do the
experiment in class
and the second part
they could do at
home could the part
where they actually
do their blog. They
could take their
information for the
experiment home
and do their blog
post at home and
share it with the
teacher

The teacher will need

to remember the
concepts taught about
earth systems, use
the information to
provide ways for
students to solve new
problems, make
judgments about the
value of the materials
Remember, apply,
analyze, evaluate

This could be turned

into a game by
letting the students
help pick the books
and for each book
they choose they
get something like a
token towards a
bigger prize or lunch
with the teacher or
something like that.
It could also be
turned into a game
by the teacher
picking the books
and giving the
students clues and
they have to figure
out what book the
teacher choose for
that topic

physical disability
may be that they
are unable to hold
a pencil to write

the notes will be

even if they were
unable to write

Gifted/ Talented

breakdown the
information, make
judgments about the
value of the material,
create an original set

Students will use a

blog website

Live Writer,
MarsEdit or
Wordpress) in order
to keep a daily
journal/diary of
things happening at
school, at home,
what they are
learning, what they
are interested in,
etc. and this will be
shared with the
teacher so they are
able to provide
activities and things
that are interesting
to the students and
that will keep them
involved and
motivated
#5-C

Students will need to

be able to remember
what they have
learned and
remember the point of
the blog, interpret and
summarize what they
have learned and
what is going on in
their lives, apply that
information to
different situations
like writing a blog,
defend opinions and
choose what to
include, produce an

and in ways the

students learn the best
and will be the most
helpful to them

This could be done

at home and
brought in and
shared with the
teacher or other
students if they
wanted to share it
with other students.
The students doing
this could think of
what they want to
write about for the
day and complete
their blog post at
home and share it
with the teacher so
the teacher can
have some insight
and they can talk
with the student
about what they
wrote about the
next day at school if
they wanted to

Other
Reflection: I really like the concept of mobile learning because it seems like everyone these days owns a mobile device so it
seems like it only makes sense to incorporate it into the classroom. I also feel like if you totally ban the use of mobile devices in
the classroom the want of the students to use it will only increase and they will find a way to use it in your classroom whether you
are aware of it or not. I feel like if a teacher is able to find ways to use mobile technology in an effective way in the classroom the
possibilities are endless, there are so many more resources on the internet than we usually have on hand at schools, that we are
now able to easily access using our mobile devices. Teacher can do so much more with the little money they do receive just by
using things students may already have access to. Mobile technology would affect the tools I use in presenting what I am
teaching and conveying/getting that information to my students. It will also impact the tools I use with my students in order to
complete assignments and in order for them to learn in different ways that appeal to them and motivate them to learn and

complete their work. By having this option and these resources I think it will help when it comes to the different learning styles of
the students in my classroom.
