Tour Designer
(Using Google Maps to explore Monterey, CA, and to design an
ideal tour of the day in Monterey)
Students will learn the effective ways to explore given
location by using Google Map in order to complete the task
of analyzing local history, information, and photos
regarding the assigned location so as to design an ideal oneday tour package for the class.

(Using LINE to text and engage audio/video calls with foreign
language native speakers for advancing comprehensive language
skills)
Lesson Rationale
Students will learn how to use effective ways and free yet
powerful application on iPad to communicate with native
speakers by using comprehensive language skills of
listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Description of Learning/Teaching Teacher delivers a presentation (using NearPod, Keynote, or Haiko
Activities
Deck) introducing LINE application and designates assignment to
students.
Task Activity:
1. Students will use iPad map application LINE to engage
real-time texting, audio/video meeting with pre-arranged
foreign language native speakers/exchange students in
order to advance comprehensive language skills in listing,
speaking, reading and writing skills.
2. Students will use iPad apps such as Haiku Deck and
Keynote to create a presentation to help them introduce
