Context
The tasks of this project was somewhat new and great to work with in the
Information Technology Systems subject. Each task to achieve was semiexperienced where working with half of the softwares, programs and resources and
the other half was trying out, learning and understanding the algorithms of each
system. Working with Adobe Premiere Pro CC and YouTube wasnt a challenge
since past knowledge of working with the program in another subject of school.
Working within the effects of the program was new, challenging and an experience.
With access to the internet, finding the evidence and information for the project was
difficult and a hassle. Overall the tasks assessed are very multiplatform, open to
many uses of the internet and new programs. After the work of this project the
programs such as Adobe Premiere Pro are much more useful due to needing to
learn how to use effects, cancelling audio and much more. For the tasks, the client
must retrieve a multimodal source observing social media, video games and
violence. The violence and video game issue was chosen to create a documentary.
Support of violence not being linked to video was needed for this project but a
neutral and not biased thesis type of documentary was more suitable. To give the
client information from both sides of the issue to give a much more better insight of
the situation. In the end of working in this project, many video interviews and sources
were removed that would really help support the thesis of no bias. The client will be
happy due to the portions of the documentary including interviews form professionals
and public science speakers. Also asking students to give the client and opinion and
view from that side of the story.
Inputs
The tasks of the project were completed by the various uses of softwares and the
internet. Adobe Premiere Pro CC was used to edit the project to finalise and turn it
into a product. Google Chrome was used to gather resources and information and
turned them into data to use for the project. Websites such as YouTube provided
multimodal evidence to use as a way to support the bias for the project. These
softwares and sources were used for the project because they were understandably
easy to use, simple to learn and really useful for the assigned tasks. Some websites
included issue to whether the evidence was in a factual or fictitious state. Adobe
Premiere Pro CC threw many issues during the development of the project such as
crashes, progress being removed or lost and some functions of the software not
being able to work on the laptop. The project file was corrupted and damaged near
the deadline of the project which causes lack of time to fix the project and other
footage being removed from final product. The product was made in a tone of
subtlety and simplicity which was completed by the use of Adobe Premiere Pro CC
features. All of these programs and software were fitting for the project as they were
easy to use, fast to catch on to learn and understand; and were very useful and an
advantage to use for the project.
Processes
This project required a huge amount of time management, organisation and use of
software and programs. A proportion of time during development of the project was
learning and understanding how to use the software and programs. Organisation
was a main consideration as it helped set the duration of what was being developed
to the projects and tasks. Time management was a huge difficulty because of timing
of work and assessing the development to set times. When setting progress of the
project each week, it became more difficult to finish as other tasks to the project still
needed to be completed. Catching up to date with the progress to the time
management caused many issues. The use of software such as Adobe Premiere Pro
CC brought huge amounts of issues. Crashes occurred frequently which caused
progress to be lost and work needed to be completed again, editing that harmed
many audio and video files and saves of the project gone missing or removed.
Overall the processes of the tasks were difficult, took time and management of time
in progress of the project was minimal use. Keeping up to date with the set duration
progress table brought many issues along the way too.
Product
The tasks of this project was required to bring a format of media on the observation
of social media, violence and video games. To bring an study of the debate whether
video games cause children to have violence in the future. As a final product, the
project was successful but disappointing as well because of development issues.
Due to software issues, footage that was useful for the product were not able to be
rendered or placed into the final product. While rendering various software crashes
occurred which caused heaps of footage with information and data for the project to
not make it to final product. At the deadline of the project, the final product was
successful; editing was completed, most footage was placed to keep a consistent
flow to the project and a suitable amount of research of studies were used in the final
product. This project was mainly disappointing due to the extra information and data
evidence needed for the final product not being able to make it due to Adobe
Premiere Pro CC causing many issues. Overall, the effort and work done in the
editing and finalisation of the product brought a successful but disappointing project
that got all tasks completed.
