It is with tremendous enthusiasm that I recommend Ms. Amanda Goldstein for future teaching positions. I have had the distinct pleasure of both supporting and collaborating with Amanda over the course of the 2015-2016 academic year at Freedom Prep Charter Middle School located in Camden, NJ. Amanda serves as the 7th grade ACT (special education) Math teacher a position that requires she both modify materials to suit the varying needs of her students, as well as to effectively differentiate the delivery of her instruction so as to target, and ultimately grow, scholars that are presenting at vastly different levels. As you can imagine, the aforementioned can prove a daunting task, but Amandas commitment to impeccable planning (as evidenced by her extensive scripting), weekly conferencing and practice alongside her instructional leader and determination to utilize both formal and informal data sources to inform her decision-making, has rendered improved outcomes for ACT students! In addition to the integral role that Amanda plays as ACT teacher at Freedom Prep, she is also dedicated to life-long learning. Amanda participates in weekly professional development sessions as afforded by the administration at Freedom Prep team building on Monday afternoons from 4:00-5:00 and whole group PD founded in Doug Lemovs Teach Like a Champion V 2.0 each Friday from 1:30-5:15. She is an active participant in said sessions, eager to hone her skills, dive into practice with colleagues, and is extraordinarily receptive to high-leverage feedback critical to improving her craft. I believe Amanda would agree that her approach to classroom management has improved dramatically over the course of the year, as Ms. Goldstein has adopted what can be described as a positive and progressive approach to motivating the scholars. As Im sure you would agree, classroom management is among the most imperative best practices. I am certain that Amanda will be successful in adapting and applying what she has learned this year so as to continue her work with the diverse population(s) of students to whom she has dedicated her career! In summation, I am confident that the skills and abilities that Ms. Amanda Goldstein has demonstrated will enable her to not only excel within the desired position, but also enrich it in ways that your organization has not yet anticipated. I recommend Amanda without reservation. Should you have any further questions about Amandas background or qualifications, please do not hesitate to contact me.
