A Shipping Instruction (S/I) is a document advising details of cargo and exporter's

requirements of its physical movement. It provides basic information to draw up the Bill
of Lading.

The Shipping Instruction application enables you to create a Normal as well as a Template
S/I. A Normal S/I is created based on a Booking Number and optionally by copying a
Template S/I, or a Normal S/I. Whenever there is similar or repetitive information, an S/I is
created and saved as a Template. In future, whenever, a similar S/I needs to be created
quickly , the template is used to create the new S/I.

This application accepts e-S/I requests globally from registered customers using the
MOLPower Website. Star-Net processes these requests to create a new Bill of Lading. The
E-S/I request can either be saved as draft or submitted to MOL for processing. The draft
requests can be further modified before it is submitted to MOL. However, E-S/Is
submitted to MOL are not allowed to be submitted further, but their revisions can be sent
to MOL.
