I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Mr. James Gammon in support of his employment within your school system. My professional relationship with Mr. Gammon began in the Fall of 2014. Mr. Gammon was offered a Junior High and High School Math position in Lame Deer School District, which he accepted. My interaction with Mr. Gammon has been through my former position as Jr./Sr. High School Principal. It is my consistent observation that Mr. Gammon strives to do what is best for his students. He takes an interest in each student and strives to build a strong rapport. It is clearly evident by his professional practices that he takes a sincere interest in his students success and is concerned for their well-being. He is extremely conscientious in his ability to determine the needs of his students, and his students know he holds them to a higher standard of achievement. Through my interactions with Mr. Gammon, I have found him always welcoming and professional. He is well aware of the adopted instructional programs, and implements them with the utmost of professional accountability and fidelity. Mr. Gammon has been an active participant in the activities at Lame Deer Junior/Senior High School, including being a positive, encouraging member of our faculty. He has also taken on additional roles for support to our students, which was to teach afterschool, through 21st Century. Although completing his first year of teaching middle and high school students, Mr. Gammon has embraced the challenges brought about by the different grade levels, students differing maturity levels, students differing physical sizes and varying levels of academic achievement. Mr. Gammon completed all tasks and assignments in a timely and conscientious manner, consistently paying great attention to detail. Mr. Gammon is observant, flexible, and his strengths lie in his easy demeanor, good-natured attitude coupled with a professional demeanor, which engages students but also holds them to higher accountability and expectations. Mr. Gammon is a strong teacher with great insight and knowledge, which effectively and seamlessly translates to a concern for all students. It is without hesitation that I recommend Mr. Gammon for a place among your staff, and I believe he will undoubtedly be a valued member of your staff. Mr. Gammon will be an asset to any educational system that prides itself in high expectations and academic achievement.
