Special Vanderlyn STEM Even The VANDERLYN STEM FAIR is tomorrow night, Thursday, November 5, from 4:30-6:30 PM. This will be a fantastic evening offun- F L filled games, prizes, and very special demonstrations. The PTO STEM ‘Committee has really upped the level of this year’s Fall STEM Night, so please DO NOT MISS OUT on all the new and amazing events at tomorrow night's Science —Technology — Engineering & Math Fair! Georgia Perimeter College will be debuting their brand new StarLab inflatable planetarium! They will also be running stations showing how to make ice cream, how to make and launch paper rockets, and how to build suspension bridges. Georgia Tech students from the Invention Studio Makerspace will be bringing by several 3D printers for Vanderlyn to try out. The Georgia Tech Orthotics and Prosthetics group will be showing how they create artificial limbs and hands http://www. ispot.tv/ad/7ujA/georgia-tech- Improving-the-human.condition-around-the- worldttspotEmbed! ‘We will have many other STEM-related activities, including an electronics building station where you can learn how to make a “smart” flashlight, a math quiz show, and a “Tesselations” station. By visiting each station, you will also earn tickets that you can trade in for snacks or STEM prizes. Please note- this is not a drop off event and all children must be accompanied by an adut.
