THOUGHTS:
Ithoughtatthebeginningthatinvolvementwithschoolactivitiesrequirephysical
presenceduringschooldayandattheschoolbuilding;andnaturallyparentsneedtohelp
teachschoolsubjectswhenstudentsisdoinghomeworkandlearningathome.Ialso
considereddecisionmakingonissuesregardingschoolinvolvementmeansatradeoff
betweenconflictingideasandpowerstrugglebetweenpriorities.

ApotentialbiasIhadisthatschoolfacultiesandstaffhaveprofessionalknowledgeon
educationandinstruction.Henceschoolshouldplayaleadingroleondiscussionand
formulationofpartnershipsbetweenschools,familiesandcommunities.Schoolfacultiesand
staffmighttendtoviewmanythingsforgrantedbasedontheirownsetsofvalueandpoints
ofviewderivedfromtheirprofessionaltrainingandexperience.Therefore,Iassumedthere
isalwaysapowergamebetweenschools,families,andcommunities.
