ABSTRACT
This paper's main topic is about cannabis, AKA
"Marijuana", and its beneficial/harmful properties towards
a human. We will also discuss its history, and the chemical
makeup which its constructed from.
INTRODUCTION
In the ancient world plants were used widely for many
uses. Some plants were used for medicinal purposes,
others were used as fiber to construct cloths, and ropes.
Cannabis was one of the main plants used in the ancient
world, and It had many uses in the everyday life. The
oldest known written record on cannabis use comes from
the Chinese Emperor Shen Nungin 2727 B.C., were it was
used as fiber to construct clothing and ropes in ancient
China.
METHODS
To construct the chemical makeup THC, which is the
chemical that gives cannabis its medicinal properties, I
used a small stick like magnets, and I also used metal
spherical objects.

Name of the Drug
Cannabis, weed, Ganga, Rope, Gangster, Skunk, Chronic,
Grass, the devil's lettuce, Mary Jane. i
Chemical Makeup
Cannabis is a natural herb which contains a chemical with
medicinal properties. This chemical is called
tetrahydrocannabinol also known as "THC".ii
Chemical Structure
The chemical THC is a compound composed of twenty one
Carbon molecules, thirty Hydrogen molecules, and two
Oxygen molecules, or also known as C21H30O2.iii

Purpose of the Drug

Cannabis has many medicinal uses including, overcoming
depression, back pain, headache, and loss of appetite.
Cannabis has also been found helpful in curing some
cases of breast and other types of cancer, and it has also
been used to stop seizures.iv
Side Effects of the Drug
Taking cannabis can make people feel chilled out, relaxed
and happy, and they may get the giggles or become very
talkative. It can also make you more aware of your senses,
and the hallucinogenic effects can even give you a feeling
of time slowing down. Other side effects could be hunger,
light headedness.v
Presence in the World
Cannabis is one of the most used drugs on a global scale,
strait after tobacco, alcohol, and caffeine. It is widely
present in almost all the world countries, no matter if its
legal or not in a country.vi
Presence in Palestine
Cannabis in not legal in Palestine, so there is not an exact
way to know its presence in Palestine, but according to
anonymous sources cannabis is not present in Palestine,
instead a cinthetic version of cannabis also known as "K2"
is present.
