Science & Innovation Park Manager

BUE is the highest ranked private university in Egypt. It was founded in 2005 and opened by HRH The Prince of Wales. It has its own
degree awarding powers and offers undergraduate and post graduate Egyptian / UK dual degrees via its UK partners, London South
Bank University, Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh and Loughborough University. The University, which is located some 40 km from
central Cairo, has a student population of 7800 across seven Faculties - Business, Economics and Political Science, Dentistry, Engineering,
Informatics and Computer Science, Mass Media and Communications, Nursing and Pharmacy,
In September 2016, it will open two new Faculties .

The British University in Egypt (BUE) and Shorouk Academy (SA) in partnership with Tus-Holdings of China are
building a Science and Innovation Park (Tus-BUE-SA SIP) on their premises at Shorouk City and invite applications
for a Manager to lead its operation and management. Tus-BUE-SA SIP construction has commenced. Successful
candidates are expected to begin immediately after the review and selection process is completed to lead this
effort from building to full operation and beyond. The total area devoted to Tus-BUE-SA SIP is 22,000 square meters,
which includes multi-story buildings and open space. The buildings will have a total floor area of approximately
15,000 square meters and will be furnished, serviced, and equipped according to international standards of
science parks, including programmes and packages intended to stimulate innovations and entrepreneurship.

Minimum requirements for Academic appointments:

PhD.
Full Professorship and ten years of experience in teaching and learning for the position of Dean.
Five years of experience in teaching and learning for Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer.
Priority will be given to research-active applicants with a proven research track record.

Administrative appointments

The University will also recruit some administrative positions to support the introduction of the faculties and is particularly
interested to hear from support staff with experience of UK Higher Education.

Responsibilities

1. Taking full charge of the management of the science park during the construction and development
phase, the opening and full operation phase, and long term operation phase.
2. Being responsible for construction of investment and operational team and do well in business guide,
training and examination.
3. Being responsible for daily operation and management of the park.
4. Taking charge of the full operation of attracting investments and tenants, and implementation of business
strategy and overall management of project teams.
5. Assisting in preparing and implement of the investment and operational programs and research, prepare and
implement the annual operation plans, and ensure annual operation index and operational efficiency inside the park.
6. Setting up and perfecting a management system of service team in the park, including interior staff structure,
business process and all rules and regulations, and make timely optimal adjustments to the structure and process.
7. Managing and guiding the investment team, extend investing and tenants channels, maintain client
resources, and finally finish the investment tasks.

Qualifications

- Essential
1. Egyptian national with work experience both internationally and in Egypt.
2. Bachelor degree with marketing and management majors and/or MBA.
3. More than 30 years old, with more than 3 year experience in investment and operation, marketing and jobs
related to marketing planning.
4. Familiar with relevant policies, regional dynamics and development trend in connection with real estate
and industrial parks.
5. Strong affinity and expression ability, better temperament and conversation with quick thinking, and with
greater business negotiation skills.
6. Good in organization, communication and coordination and having spirit of teamwork.
- Desirable
1. Familiar with basic operation mode of science park projects.
2. Priority will be given to those with experience in independently operating science and/or industrial park projects.
