We are still out of a secretary so I have been continuing the job of secretary until we find someone new. During
this time I am doing everything the secretary did except answering phones. These tasks include the biggest of the
secretarial functions which is preparing the tax returns after the have been done and sending them to the clients.

2.

What new knowledge or skill did you learn on the internship last week? Describe in detail.
I havent learned much this week besides continuing to put together the packets that the clients get mailed to
them. I learned about what to do with a PA-1000 along with a few other forms and what instruction sheets they
get before they go out.

I have learned how to speak properly to clients when they enter and exit the office alone with the correct
responses to greet them when they arrive.
4. List any difficulties, mistakes, pleasant or unpleasant experiences that occurred last week. What did you do to
correct your mistake(s)?
Once in a while I would go to the wrong person with a client because they didnt know who their preparer was or I
would mess up and instruction sheet for the return.
5. On what skill or question could you use help in performing your internship
responsibilities better?
I could have a folder with examples in it to help me move through the process quicker and more efficiently and I
wouldnt have to ask for help as much
