BUILDING THE DIFFERENTIATED CLASSROOM

The day will be divided into four 90-minute workshops. During each time slot, multiple
workshop options will be offered. Our most popular workshops will be offered in
more than one session.
Highly trained and experienced teachers and consultants will provide workshops that focus on:
• practical applications of several classroom-tested differentiation strategies
• incorporating differentiation strategies into the core curriculum while adhering to required texts
• integrating the Depth Complexity Icons into the core curriculum
• introducing Math Icons as a mean to facilitate inductive, conceptual math instruction
• providing students with differentiated and challenging Independent Study / Research opportunities
• using Universal Concepts to help students connect content throughout the disciplines
• developing effective questioning techniques that elicit high-level thinking
• building a responsive classroom environment and vital atmosphere for students
