Procedure

Agribusiness

1. I will open the lesson with a discussion readdressing


what we discussed yesterday regarding their Miner
versus Farmer Debate.
2. I will distribute the career image cards to the class
dividing the farmers and the miners.
3. Half of the class will have 15 minutes to develop an
argument as to why mining is a better career while the
other half creates the same argument about farming.
4. The groups will select 3-4 presenters amongst
themselves.
5. Each group will have 3-5 minutes to present their
argument to the opposing team and to Mrs. Francia and
myself.
6. Following the arguments, both sides will have their
presentation panel go back up to the front of the class to
debate and question the other sides argument for 5
minutes.
7. Mrs. Francia and I will choose our career and the winning
team will receive candy from the treasure chest.
8. We will close by each opposing side giving three facts
about the other team to show they have learned
something from their peers.
