Events Leading Up To The


When the Holocaust was
happening when Hitler was around,
Change:e
he was against gays.
Gay men and women were to numerous groups targeted by
the Nazis and were eliminated among Holocaust victims.
On March 18th, 2015, leading up to the United States, the
Presbyterian Church of the United States voted to include
same-sex couples in their definition of marriage.
Pride parades happened a lot before same-sex marriage was
legal. Recently in Chicago, there was a parade on June 28th,
2015.

Reasons for this Change:


Many homosexual couples have a general interest in marriage.
This includes 54% of Australians and another 80% of their
general population who support this idea.
It has been said that there will be a decreased divorce rate. 50%
of Americans get a divorce, but allowing homosexual marriage
will allow less of a chance to split up due to incompatibility or
infertility.
This action was said by many supporters that it will separate
church and state. In other words, the right to marriage will have
no harm to religion and hopefully destroy the thought that
homosexuals are sinners.

time to diminish youth suicide and bullying.
This change also increases the amount of children
successfully adopted because before, certain adoption
agencies did not allow homosexuals to adopt.
Finally, one of the most popular points that gay-marriage
supporters claim is that legalizing this change does not (or
should not) affect the heterosexual community.

Currently there are 20 countries out of 196 countries in the
world
