Organizing the content into two different buttons to access the activities was
chosen to keep the materials less cluttered and allow learners to have the option
to choose where they would like to start. For example, one might like to check
out the activity first to get an idea of what is expected while others would
choose to see the case study first then access the activity.

The video and text information will supply learners the appropriate background
information to allow for them to successfully complete the case activity.
Learners will use the information to assess how they can to meet the
developmental needs of the child, identify risk factors discussed in the vignette,
illustrate knowledge of behavioral, mental, and social responses associated with
violence exposure, and use the information to formulate resolutions to help
support the child exposed to violence.

The activity will provide evidence to whether or not learners have met the
instructional goals. Learners will not only recognize ways the child is being
exposed to violence but will supply answers to questions and tasks that will
indicate their understanding of how to meet the developmental needs of the
child, identify risk factors, illustrate knowledge of behavioral, mental, and
social responses associated with the violence exposure, and formulate
resolutions to help support the child exposed to violence.
