Introduction
Imagine being uncomfortable about your race
because other people have criticized you about it.
Racism is a horrible thing and it is becoming a big
problem in the USA. In this article, teen activist Peneil
Joseph helps stand up against racism at his Missouri
and for colleges all across USA. Then I will tell you
about world wide problems and how to stop racism.
Lastly I will tell you why I chose this very important
topic.

Chapter 1:
Peniel and his football team went on strike. They
didnt show up to any practices or games. They wanted
their school president to resign. They had drawn
national attention. There had been too much
racist

comments going on in the school area. As a result the

school president is not doing a good job of containing

racism. Since this problem has been heard worldwide
Yale started to have some problems at their school as
well. Racist e-mails were found by people who would be
offended by the comments. Students started to
protest and stop racism at all colleges. Together Peniel
and his team started a global awakening to this
problem. The president of Missouri ended up resigning
and racism not such a big problem at Peneils college. In
conclusion Peniel's protest has worked and him and his
football team showed up to the rest of the practices
and games.

Chapter 2:

Teen activist Peniel Joseph is on the Missouri football

team. Lately at the college there has been a lot of
racist comments going around most colleges in the
USA. Once Peniel and his football team found out about
this issue they vowed to go on strike .They didnt go
to any practices or games do to this problem. After
this was heard worldwide Yale was having problems
with racism as well. Students were writing racist
comments to each other and when those who would be
offended to those e-mails got mad. This shows that
racism is getting out of hand and becoming a huge
crisis. Although those are just two of the colleges that
have problems with racism. Both schools wanted their
presidents to resign so they could have a president
that doesnt allow racism to go on frequently. Soon all
colleges were standing up against racism so students
dont have to be

Chapter 3:
Racism is becoming a big world problem. Fifty percent
of the people in this country think that racism is a big
problem. This has lead to many protests because people
cant stand it anymore. Seventy-three percent of
blacks say it is a huge problem.
In addition it seems to be that the black community
gets offended by racism more often than any other
race. Only forty-four percent of whites think that

much in this country but some people in the white
community recognize that other ethnicities are. Most
of the racial problems in this world are against the
black community. This has only lead to protest and the
hatred of different ethnicities.

Chapter 4:
We can all stop racism. Though there is no fund or
program to stop it. Instead we can just think before
we speak. When you say a racist comment to someone it
could hurt their feelings or it can travel around and
hurt the feelings of those you gossipped about. If you
hear someone say a racist comment to you ask Why do
you think that is funny?or explain why you disagree.
You dont have to criticise the person who made the
racist comment. Instead you criticise the comment
itself. For example, when someone makes a racist
comment try not to call them racist that is bad as
well.Explain your issue.

Chapter 5:
I chose this topic because recently this has been a
huge problem in this country. Other people may choose
this topic because it has affected them personally.
Racism affects many people and it should be stopped. I
think we should think before we speak on how we think
of people. It hurts people feelings and there is nothing
nice about it. Other people may be mad at the people
made racist comments about them. Although they will
try to stop racism but be mean to the people who are
racist. That does not help. If someone makes a racist
comment dont insult back at them. The one important
thought everyone has about racism is that it should be
stopped.

Conclusion
Overall racism can affect everyone. It hurts
people and it tears communities apart. Racism is a big
world problem and most people want it gone. Everybody
can stop it by thinking twice before they say a racist
comment but everybody will most likely not. We can all
stop racism but we have some progress to work on.
