The Ramp Man (2012) (8 x 11 full-colour, softcover book, 26 pages)

This is the story about Luke Anderson, who was 24 years old and free as a bird, with a
world of opportunities at his fingertips. A trip to British Columbia and a quest to
pursue his passion for mountain biking changed his life forever. After a terrible fall
left him quadriplegic, Luke went through extensive rehabilitation and spent time
adjusting to a new way of life. He went from being a popular, all-around star athlete,
to a young man who needed to use a wheelchair in an environment not designed with
him in mind.
Affectionately known as the Ramp Man, Luke has shown that what he has inside is
the optimism, perseverance, and hope to tackle the problems of getting around the city
when you are physically challenged. This story reminds us that together, we can face
challenges and break barriers to transform our communities.
Note: $1.00 from the sale of each book will be donated to StopGap, an organization
that is creating a world where every person can access every space through engaging
projects that raise awareness and remove barriers.
